The Film

The reel

A gentle, smooth line and wash cartoon: a San Antonio founder opening a small Southtown storefront, with the Tower of the Americas, the downtown skyline, and the River Walk behind them. The Crone Law mark and the Attorney Advertisement disclosure stay on screen throughout, and the people are hand-illustrated, never real photographs. Playback does not autoplay.

The Teaching

Four true things, and the statute behind each

Accurate to the Texas Business Organizations Code and the Texas Secretary of State, verified June 2026. Educational, never a promise of any result.

Form it

A Texas LLC begins with a Certificate of Formation, filed with the Texas Secretary of State. The state filing fee is $300.

Tex. Bus. Orgs. Code 3.005

The shield

By default, an LLC’s debts belong to the company, not to you. It is a default the law starts with, not a promise.

Tex. Bus. Orgs. Code 101.114

The company agreement

Texas calls the operating agreement a company agreement. It sets who decides what, and it holds even for a company of one.

Tex. Bus. Orgs. Code 101.052

The name and the agent

Doing business under another name means filing an assumed name certificate with the Secretary of State. Every Texas company keeps a registered agent at a real Texas street address.

Tex. Bus. & Com. Code Ch. 71 · Tex. Bus. Orgs. Code 5.201
The Graphics

The platform set

Story, square, feed, banners, and a poster, derived from the film’s scenes. They appear here as they finish.

Who This Reaches

San Antonio founders, sourced not guessed

Calm and encouraging, not crisis or fear based. Facebook and Instagram are where small-business owners already are: 71% of US adults use Facebook (Pew Research Center, 2025), and 77% of marketers say authenticity beats production value (HubSpot, 2026), which is why the film is warm and hand-illustrated.

No real faces

People are hand-illustrated storybook characters, never a photograph of a real person.

Singular voice

One narrator: Bryan and Crone Law. Never we, our, or us. Bryan is not board certified, so nothing implies specialist or expert.

Identity and disclosure throughout

The Crone Law mark and the Attorney Advertisement disclosure stay on screen the whole film and on every graphic.

No promises, inclusive imagery

No outcome promises, comparatives, or testimonials. San Antonio landmarks carry no religious symbols.
